March/Spring Break Reading List!

Hey guys!

Today, I’m going to be sharing with you what I plan on reading during March/Spring Break!

Let’s get started!

My plan for this week is to finish all of my ARC/Review Book’s, so that I can start writing up my reviews.

I received this beautiful book from Penguin Canada, and I’m so excited to read it! Thanks PC!

I received this book from Simon and Schuster Canada, and I CANNOT WAIT to read! I actually requested this book, and was so excited to receive it in the mail! Thanks again SSC!

Lastly, I want to read this book! It’s so short, and a great way to end of the week. I picked up this book from the library, and it intrigued me!

That’s it for today’s post!

Today (well, tomorrow for me, as I’m pre-writing this), I am actually attending a Big Book Sale at my local library! Check back tomorrow to see my experience and haul!

Quick Thought #9: How Books Made Me a Better Person

Hi guys!

Today’s post was originally going to be My Reading Routine, but today was a suprisingly busy day, so look out for My Reading Routine in the upcoming weeks!

I wanted to do a Quick Thought today, but couldn’t think of any topics, so I went to this awesome website where you enter a topic and it spits out a blog post idea! Check the website out here: http://www.portent.com/tools/title-maker

Back to today’s post. I’m going to share with you reason’s as to why books made me a better person.

In the past few years, I have been exposed to many YA books, and this has exposed me to many unique story! This has given me a new perspective of the world in many ways. It has shown me that there is more to life then technology, food, games, etc. I have been able to discuss myself and be more open about my opinions on my blog, which I really enjoy! I love being able to try to strive for a goal of reading as many books as I can in just 365 days! It has also taught me a lot about time managment between school, a social life and books (which you can read more about here: https://readingreadingalldaylong.wordpress.com/2015/02/07/february-flurries-quick-thought-6-balancing-a-social-life-while-running-a-blog-reading-and-school/).

I feel like books have exposed me to such a wonderful community, and opportunity to share my thoughts with you guys!

I hope you enjoyed today’s short and sweet blog post! Feel free to tell me why books made you a better person in the comments below!

See you guys tomorrow!

I would want to see my Mom’s Dad, AKA my Grandpa, as I’m sure he was an amazing guy, and that I would’ve loved him. In that time, My Grandmother’s mom would still be alive, and I really would have wanted to meet her as well. I was actually named after her!

5. Would you rather tattoo ever part of your body or have a small really inappropriate tattoo on your face (you can choose where) ?
SMALL TATTOO, behind my ear. I despise tattoo’s and will NEVER get one in my life. But, don’t be offended if you have a tattoo please!

Have you always loved reading, like since you were a child?
Do you watch booktube videos (?), if so who are your favourite booktubers?
Who do you think you got your love of reading from?

Hey guys!

Today, I’m going to be sharing with you my favourite places to read. PLEASE NOTE: I will be adding pictures at around 4:30 EST, so please come back then!

My first favourite place to read, is right next to my bookshelves, which is my rocking chair! I think EVERY avid reader needs one of these! This used to be my mom’s, when I was little! I think that that’s such a nice memory to have!
Have you seen my bookshelves? Check them out by clicking this link:  https://readingreadingalldaylong.wordpress.com/2015/02/06/february-flurries-bookshelf-tour/

My second favourite place to read is in my bed, just like most people do! Here’s what my bed looks like:

My third favourite place to read is in a library!

February Flurries: In My Bookstore!

Hi guys!

Today, I’m going to be doing an “In My Bookstore”! A lot of you guys liked my “In My Library”: https://readingreadingalldaylong.wordpress.com/2015/02/02/february-flurries-in-my-library/ , and my “In My House: Bookshelf Tour”: https://readingreadingalldaylong.wordpress.com/2015/02/06/february-flurries-bookshelf-tour/, so I thought it would be fun to do the bookstore that I go to the most often as my third installment in my “In My…” series!

I’m going to be featuring a Chapters Book Store (which I ALWAYS call Indigo, so if I say Indigo you know why), which is basically the Canadian Version of Barnes and Nobles. The store ALWAYS changes for different times of the year, and I took these pictures on Valentines Day, thats why it was all heart-sy and lovey-dovey!
The Chapters that I took the pictures at was in a mall called Bayview Village, which is about 30-35 minutes away from my neighborhood. Before I start, I wanted to mention that I forgot to take pictures of the Adult Section, I didn’t do this on purpose, I must have forgotten, sorry! Although, I thought that most of my viewers read YA books, as that’s what I blog about most!

Let’s get started!

IMG_2687

When you first walk in, it looks like this! Chapter is right beside the entrance door, meaning if I need to run in and grab a book, then run out, I can do so!

IMG_2688

Here’s a little window sneak peek (which you saw in yesterdays post)!

IMG_2690

Normally, they will have a seasonal display, and since I took these pictures on Valentines Day, the theme is love!

IMG_2691

Right next to the Valentines Day/Seasonal Display, there is a HUGE section of New and Hot Books!

IMG_2694IMG_2751

See any of the books that you love? I know I do!

IMG_2698

There are also a few displays of tables of books right beside the “New & Hot” section! This one is called “Heather’s Picks”!

IMG_2702

Beside that section, there is a TON of Journals and Stationary! Here are a few pics!

IMG_2704

IMG_2711

There is also an Indigo Tech section, where they sell iPads, E-Readers (Kobo) and accessories!

IMG_2705IMG_2707

Everywhere in the Chapters store, they have a ton of search computers! They are so easy to use, and are compatible by touch screen or keyboard.

IMG_2708

Here are some overhead shots that I took on the escalator upstairs (did I mention it was TWO FLOORS)!

IMG_2716IMG_2714

Here’s a sneak-peak of the upstairs level!

IMG_2717

Right when you get of the escalator OR elevator you end up in the main bargain books section. There is also a YA bargain books section, which I will show you soon.

IMG_2719

They also have a coffee table/beautiful books section!

IMG_2722

IMG_2729-0

On the way to the YA/Kids/Starbucks sections, they have tables of books, as well as decorations!

IMG_2725

IMG_2724

IMG_2727-0

IMG_2732-0

IMG_2731-0

Let’s head over to the Children’s section!

IMG_2734-0

Here’s the beautiful sign!

IMG_2736-0

Here’s a picture of a ton of the 6-8 books, as well as fun picture books!

IMG_2737-0

Here’s a picture of the craft section!

IMG_2740-0

Now, let’s head on to the YA Section!

IMG_2754

Here’s in overview! I’m not really going to be describing/captioning all of the pictures, I only will when I have to!

IMG_2741

IMG_2747

IMG_2758

IMG_2750

IMG_2756

Behind these books, on the shelves, you can find the Teen’s bargain books!

IMG_2759

On the way to the checkout desks, they always have Mass Market Paperbacks on Sale! Most of them are for Adults.

IMG_2761

Also on the way to the checkout desk, they have many knick-knacks and tons of cool goodies!

IMG_2687

And that, is a tour In My Bookstore!

If you guys want me to do more of these posts, give me some suggestions on where I should do them in (what places). I personally LOVE showing pictures in my posts, as I think that it’s more fun to read!
If you guys like this post, feel free to like, comment and share, it means a lot!
