Welcome back to Reading, Reading, Reading!
Over the past few seasons, I have created some 5-star predictions for books that are either releasing in that season or I am planning to read in that season. Last season, I didn’t read many of my 5-star predictions, therefore I didn’t make a reflection post like I did in the Spring. However, I still plan on reading this months’ 5-star predictions, and hopefully they will live up to my expectations!
The first book I predict will be a 5-star prediction is DON’T YOU FORGET ABOUT ME by Mhairi McFarlane. I purchased this book a few months ago, since it was 40% off at Chapters Indigo a little while ago. While I haven’t heard many reviews of this book, the few thoughts I have heard have been excellent!
The second book I believe will be a 5-star prediction is AMERICAN ROYALS by Katharine McGee. This book sounds super sweet and unique, plus who wouldn’t want to read about a hypothetical royal family in America?! Thanks to Penguin Teen Canada for an ARC of this book!
The third book I believe will be 5-stars is THE BABYSITTERS COVEN by Kate Williams. This book sounds super interesting and unique, and when I initially heard about it, I thought I would love it! Hopefully it lives up to all of my hype! Thanks to Penguin Teen Canada for the ARC!
The fourth book I think will be 5-stars is SLAY by Brittney Morris. This book talks about a lot of important topics, from racism to females in technology. If you recognize this book, you’ve probably seen it from BookExpo/Book Con’s massive marketing campaign on it. I really hope I love this book! Thanks to Simon & Schuster Canada for the ARC!
The last book I believe will be 5-stars is THE TEN THOUSAND DOORS OF JANUARY by Alix E. Harrow. While I don’t usually read much adult fantasy, this one sounds very similar to TLOS (my FAVOURITE middle grade series!) as well as Seanan McGuire’s fantasy series (which I haven’t read, but plan to very soon).
Those are my Fall 2019 5-star predictions! Do you find any of these interesting? Let me know in the comments!
Good Night Book Owls!
