The Secret Life of a Book Blogger Tag!

Hi  everyone!

I’ve seen this TAG around the blogosphere for a while, and not just in the bookish area  of it! Thanks to Sarah @ ShesJustFangirling for tagging me in this awesome tag! Let’s get started!

How long have you been a blogger?

I have been blogging for more than 2 years now! I started my blog in December 2013, and am currently in my 3 year of blogging! It has been so much fun, and I don’t know what I’d  do without having created my blog! There are so many amazing people I’ve met and experiences I’ve had. I couldn’t be more thankful!

At what point do you think you will stop?

At this point, I don’t think I’ll ever stop! I’ve had so many amazing memories from it, and I’d never want it to end! I’ve taken several breaks, but I really enjoy it so I don’t see a point of stopping!

What is the best thing?

Besides all of the amazing book, I love all of the events I’ve been able to attend! Among them being, HCC Frenzy Presents, Raincoast Teen Preview and the TIBF!

What is the worst thing?

There isn’t really anything bad about book blogging, but whenever I’m on a reading slump it’s  really hard to right bookish related content/reviews. This normally ends up myself having to take a little break which is kind of depressing…!

How long does it take you to create/find pictures to use?

I’ve always loved book blogs that make there own graphics for each post, such as Falling Down the Book Hole. I haven’t figured out a  good way to do that yet, so I mainly just stick to book covers which are really easy to find.

Who’s your book crush?

I’d have to say Ettienne St. Clair from Anna and the French Kiss.

Which author would you like to have on your blog?

Honestly, anybody who wants to come on my blog is welcome to email me!

What do you wear when you write your blog?

Whatever I want mainly. I’m currently writing this at school after I’ve finished all of my work. Normally I’ll be in my pajamas or comfy clothes.

How long does it take you to prepare?

I don’t really know if you’d say prepare, but I like to schedule my blog posts weekly (I’m scheduling this one of Wednesday, to go up the day you see this). It’s way easier to do that because then I know I’m free to do stuff during the week.

How do you feel about the book blogger community/culture?

Besides the MLB Toronto BlueJays community, it’s one of the best out there!

What do you think one should do to have a successful blog?

I have an entire “Creating a Book Blog” series, which you can find here. I’d recommend scheduling a ton of posts through out the month, and make sure you have social media linked to your blog. Also, YOU HAVE TO HAVE A CONTACT ME page, and here’s why.

Who do you tag?

I TAG these amazing blogs…  (my favourite girls who start with A – not actually I just love all of there blogs and it’s a coincidence).

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Book Blogger Appreciation Week

Hi everyone!

This week is currently Book Blogger Appreciation Week! It is run by Estella Society, and this will be the first time I’m participating in it. I won’t be posting the regular weekly posts, but I will be changing them to make them my own posts.

This week, I will also be reading 2 books that I’ve had on my TBR for a while!

I plan on reading Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard, and Unhooked by Lisa Maxwell. Red Queen has been requested for me to read by a ton of people including one of my best friends Jordan. I received the book Unhooked by  Lisa Maxwell from my favourite people at Simon and Schuster Canada.

Let me know if your participating in this fun week!

February 2016 TBR

Hi everyone!

This post was supposed to go up on Saturday, but I was busy so I’m posting it today!

January was a big reading fail for me. Last January I read 9 books which was amazing! So to think that I only read 1 this January is a tad sad. Hopefully this month I can change that. Already a week has gone by in February, so hopefully I’ll be able to read a ton in the next 3 weeks. I already have a few ARCs coming in from Raincoast, and hopefully one from Simon and Schuster Canada… Yes, they got back to me and were as sweet as ever (don’t know what I’m talking about? Click here)! Hopefully those books will make me more motivated to read a lot this month!

Anyways, let’s get to the books!

I received an ARC of Ice Like Fire all the way back from HCC Frenzy, and I still haven’t started this trilogy! It sounds so different from other YA/Dystopian novels, and it has some really amazing reviews! I can’t wait to read it. Thanks for the ARC of Ice Like Fire Harper Collins Canada!

I requested this book a while ago from Harper Collins Canada, and now that I finally have it, I can’t wait to read it! I have yet to read Amy Zhang’s previous book Falling Into Place, but hopefully after finishing this book I will want to read her previous one soon! This is Where the World Ends by Amy Zhang comes out March 22, 2016.

Finally I want to read Flawed by Cecelia Ahern. I recieved an ARC 0f this book at the Raincoast Teen Preview, and it looks really really interesting!

Those are all of the books I want to read this month. I think that this should be a pretty realistic amount of novels I can read, but I guess we’ll see in my February Wrap-Up!
