Halloween Book Recomendations!

Although, halloween is today, it is always fun to recommend some SPOOKY book recommendations! I don’t read many horror books, so today I will only be recommending 3!
Let’s get started!

1. GooseBumps by R.L. Stine!

Just a few years ago, I became OBSESSED with Goosebumps! I absolutely LOVED the books and the fact that they were so small, meant that I could read one everyday! Surprisingly, when my oldest cousin was ALOT younger he was obesessed with GooseBumps as well! And, to my surprise, he owned the first 35 books! I now own those books and have but them on a separate shelf on my book shelve! I still love them today!

2. Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

Although I have not finished this book yet, I would still recommend it! I’m currently half-way done and it’s AMAZING! Expect a full review, coming shortly!

3. The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart

Even thought this book may not be scary, it still has a horror esc! This is a middle grade book, I read it when I was 10, and absolutely LOVED it!

I hope you guys have an AMAZING Halloween! Don’t get sick from eating to much CANDY!

Quick Thought #1: Introduction

Hey guys!

I have noticed that there have been several current events going on in the world, and I would love to share my thoughts and opinions with you. That is why I am creating a “Quick Thought” series on my blog!

I will try to post one quick thought every few weeks, and I would love some feedback on them!

If you thought on my blog all we would talk about is books, then your are wrong. Reading means several different things, like, reading an an article or even a blurb on the daily news!

When doing “Quick Thoughts” they will be my personal opinions and thoughts. You may disagree with me, but you should know that there is more then 1 side to every story!

I hope that you guys will find these interesting! I will also have a “page” on the search bar where you can access all of them!

Good Night Book Worms!

I’m so excited to announce that this year I will be participating in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month)!

I have been coming up with a plan and a few main points and I am SO EXCITED to participate!

This will be my first year competing, so I am a bit nervous and to what challenges persue, but I am also excited! Although many people’s goals will be 50,000 words by the end of the month, I feel that this will be a little to much for me, so I have cut it down to 5,000 words. I hope to exceed that but that will be my main writing goal!

I hope you guys will join me in this NaNoWriMo journey!

Q: Will you be doing daily updates?

A: I will try my best to. I am a full time attendee of school, so homework will be my first commitment/priority. But don’t worry, I will try my best to an update every day, as well as a blog post every other day.

Q: How did you hear about NaNoWriMo?

A: I heard about it from Catorina (AKA “The Little Book Owl” on YouTube/BookTube). Here is her 2014 NaNoWriMo video:¬†https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNslaFqrYjg.

Q: Do you have an0ther blog?

A: I created another blog called “Everything Lissy”, but it is inactive and will be deleted soon.

Weekly Reading Plans

Hey guys!

Sorry for being MIA! I have had so much home work and a test every week or so! I’m going to schedule a few new blog posts for the next few days so you guys aren’t hanging for a new one!

Aswell if you read the blog post that I posted last week, it said that I’m starting a new blog but I have deleted that as I’m now going to continue working on this one only and try to improve it as much as I can.

I have a few books that I have to complete to work on a “book genres” project, so I have chosen these to read for it!

I’m planning on reading a Helen Keller biography by Leslie Garett. I have had this book for quite a while, but have not read it. So, I thought this was the perfect time to read it!

For this genre I’m going to be reading 172 hours on the moon! Did you know that this book was translated from another language into English? To find out about the book and more interesting facts about it watch JesseTheReaders video on it! Click here to watch it: JesseTheReaders Review.

Realistic Fiction:
For this genre I have chose, The Book Theif by Marcus Zusak! One of my favourite booktubers, Catorina (from LittleBookOwl) has a raving review on it, that I promise will convince you to read it! Click here to watch it: LittleBookOwls Review.

That’s it for tonight’s blog post!
Love you guys!
