Alyssa’s Reviews – Three Day Summer by Sarvenraz Tash (ARC)

Hi everyone!

Just a quick note before we start, there is an issue with the computer I post from, so these posts will be coming from my iPad, sorry! Also, I’m trying to get back on my daily posting schedule, so I have pre scheduled a ton of stuff! Next week should be SUPER FUN!

Now for the review…

A copy of Three Day Summer by Sarvenaz Tash was sent to me for review from Simon and Schuster Canada, this does not persuade my opinions on this book, as all are mine.

Summary:

Michael is unsure about most things. Go to college? Enlist in the military? Break up with his girlfriend? All big question marks. He is living for the moment and all he wants is a few days at the biggest concert of the summer.

Cora lives in the town hosting the music festival. She’s volunteering in the medical tent. She’s like that, always the good girl. But there is something in the air at this concert and suddenly Cora finds herself wanting to push her own boundaries.

When Michael and Cora meet, sparks fly, hearts race, and all the things songs are written about come true. And all the while, three days of the most epic summer await them…
Review:

Look at this COVER! Even from the cover you expect (or in my case, hope) that this book will be amazing. Besides, a festival on a farm in the 80’s, what could be better?

The beginning Half of this book was SO slow. Basically, the first 200(ish) pages were in a medical tent… Cora disobeyed her father, while Michael was ignorant and took Brown Tab Acid… What could be a better way to start off this novel? Anything else.

Although, the last 150(ish) pages definitely made up for it! Once Michael and Cora started really knowing eachother, it was evident that they would fall in love! Even though they just met eachother, their chemistry was beautiful to read and look at.

The end of the book was a bit of a tear jerker for me… It was just that good! When Michael has to go out of her town and back to his own, he promises her something… But if you want to know what that promise is, pick up this book!

Overall:

This book was quite the rollercoaster for me, and although I didn’t love the first half, I’d still recommend it’s! 3.75/5 stars.

I hope that you guys liked this book review! Thanks to Simon and as Schuster Canada for providing me with great books!

Good Night Book Owls!
