NaNoWriMo ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!

I’m so excited to announce that this year I will be participating in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month)!

I have been coming up with a plan and a few main points and I am SO EXCITED to participate!

This will be my first year competing, so I am a bit nervous and to what challenges persue, but I am also excited! Although many people’s goals will be 50,000 words by the end of the month, I feel that this will be a little to much for me, so I have cut it down to 5,000 words. I hope to exceed that but that will be my main writing goal!

I hope you guys will join me in this NaNoWriMo journey!

Q&A:

Q: Will you be doing daily updates?

A: I will try my best to. I am a full time attendee of school, so homework will be my first commitment/priority. But don’t worry, I will try my best to an update every day, as well as a blog post every other day.

Q: How did you hear about NaNoWriMo?

A: I heard about it from Catorina (AKA “The Little Book Owl” on YouTube/BookTube). Here is her 2014 NaNoWriMo video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNslaFqrYjg.

Q: Do you have an0ther blog?

A: I created another blog called “Everything Lissy”, but it is inactive and will be deleted soon.

“Tackle Your TBR” TBR!

Hey guys!

This is my TBR for the Tackle your TBR Readathon! Since this is a 2 week readathon (September 8-September 20) AND I want to TRY to succeed my goal as reading goals is going to be 4 books. Let me spread that out.

2 Weeks: 4 Books

1 Week: 2 Books

3 1/2 Days per Book

This way, if this is all I read all month, I still will have read 4 books. In my mind, that’s pretty good!

As for reading,

The first book I plan on reading is The School for Good and Evil: A World Without Princes. This is the second book in the SFGE Trilogy. I quite enjoyed the first book and gave it a 3.75 stars rating. To be completely honest, I would have probably given it a 4.5 stars rating if it weren’t for the ending, which I had MAJOR PROBLEMS with. But that, I will save for my review.

By now, you guys are probably STOP PUTTING THIS IN EVERY SINGLE TBR!!! But I can mostly promise you guys that this should be the last you see of this book until my review.

This book is going a little bit out of my comfort zone, reading wise. This is a New Adult book by Becca Fitzpatrick. Sound familiar? Becca Fitzpatrick is the author of the Hush Hush saga and the many companion novels that go with it. This book comes out on October 7, 2014. I recieved this book, as well as Servants of the Storm from Simon and Schuster. I plan on reading this book and posting a review on October 7, so you can see all of my thoughts and opinions on it!

For my final book, I plan on reading the 2nd book in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I greatly enjoyed Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, when I read it in June. I am slowly making my way through this series, and am already half way through this book, so it will be a very quick read for me.

That is my TBR for this readathon!

Are you guys joining in? If so, what are you reading for it?

Good Night Book Lions!

Tackle Your TBR ReadAThon!

The Tackle Your TBR Read-a-thon begins Monday, September 8th and ends Saturday, September 20th. You do not have to be a blogger to sign up. Just use your Goodreads, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, or Tumblr instead (the place you’re going to post updates on). You just need to be able to leave a link. For signing up, you should create a sign-up post and use that as your link (the URL field) to sign up here. You MUST be signed up in the linky to enter any related giveaways and participate in the challenges. You are required to post a sign-up post and a wrap-up post to be eligible for the giveaway. Everything else and how you participate is up to you!

You’re welcome to participate as much or as little as you’d like. The read-a-thon is to encourage us all to read so that we can tackle those tbr piles, not to cause extra stress. 😉 You will see requests for updates, but there are no requirements that you leave an update every day. Daily updates are great, though, to help us all stay motivated and cheer each other on. If you do want to post a daily update, here is a simple template (omit or add things as you like):

We will be using hashtag #TackleTBR on Twitter for updates and tweets. I’d love for you to include me in your tweets too @TresSherm. This is also a great way to find others participating and give some encouragement.

WHERE HAVE I BEEN??????

Hi everyone!

I’m so sorry for not posting anything in almost 3 weeks!

For almost the past 2 months I have been in a reading slump. I haven’t been watching booktube anymore and I haven’t been keeping up with my favorite blogs.

Although, since I was taking a break I feel like I have thought of some new things on my blog and great Ideas that I will soon be sharing. Again, I’m so sorry.

Since I have been in a MAJOR reading slump, I am going to be participating in the “Tackle Your TBR” readathon!
If you want to read about more info for that readathon, please read my latest post (which will be up in 5 minutes).

Thanks for understanding! Look out for daily posts!

Third Sentence Thursday {07/8}

Hosted by: http://www.thatswhatsheread.com.au

(Take any book you are reading and flick to a random page. Share the third full sentence from that page with the blogosphere as a “taster” of the book! You can also share your thoughts about the sentence (does it affect the novel? did you like the language used? was it so short that it adds suspense?) It’s a fun, fast way to offer your readers a ‘snapshot’ of a particular book.)

“There is an uneasiness after your best friend tries to kill you.”-The School for Good and Evil: A World Without Princes by Soman Chainani.

Since this is the second book in the series I wanted to giveaway a sentance that wasn’t a big spoiler. Obviously since Sophie and Agatha were put into opposite schools then what they THOUGHT there personality’s match one of them was going to try and kill the other… So far this book is very good and once the third book comes out (in 2015) I will be sure to do a non-spoiler trilogy review!
