August 2019 Wrap Up

Welcome back to Reading, Reading, Reading!

I apologize for posting this wrap up so late. I have been super busy with getting ready to go back to school, so I have put all things bookish on the back burner. As a result of that, I only read two books this month, but I thought I’d share them with you regardless!

img_4220

The first book I read this month was THE PERFECT WIFE by J.P. Delaney. I read this one at the very beginning of the month, and I really enjoyed it! You can read my full review here. Thanks to Penguin Random House Canada for the ARC!

img_4122

The second book I read this month was WHEN YOU ASK ME WHERE I’M GOING by Jasmin Kaur. I received this ARC at the recent HCC Frenzy Presents event, where I got to meet and listen to Jasmin reading from her book. Plus, she signed and personalized it for me! I don’t want to give anything away, so stay tuned for my review in October! Thanks again to HCC Frenzy for the ARC!

Those are the two books I read this month. How many books did you read in August?

HCC Frenzy Presents Fall 2019 Recap!

Welcome back to Reading, Reading, Reading!

It has been quite a while since I have written a blog post! To be completely transparent, I always find it quite hard to find time to read and write frequent blog posts in the summer, as I work from 9am-6pm practically everyday. Therefore, I find myself with little to know time to do much of anything. I decided to take a small break from blogging and reading this month, which I think was a very smart decision.

To kick-start the continuation of my reading for the year, I attended HarperCollins Canadas’ semi-annual Frenzy Presents event, in which team at HCC Frenzy (the teen division of Harper Collins in Canada) showcases their new Fall and Winter releases to Canadian bloggers! This is my third time ever going to a Frenzy Presents event, and you can read my recap of the first and second ones here. This time around, I loved getting to meet new bloggers and learning about many new YA books that are coming out within the next few months!

img_4089

When I first walked into the event room, I noticed these ginormous boards where you could answer some interactive questions! Most had to do with picking your most anticipated book of the season, or choosing your favourite new cover of the season!

img_4090

After interacting with the boards, I walked around and said hello to a few fellow bloggers! I also ate a few snacks, which I unfortunately forgot to take pictures of!

img_4092

At around 3pm, I sat down in my seat for the event! The HCC Frenzy crew sat on the stools shown in this picture, and talked about all of their most anticipated upcoming releases! Here are a few that sounded really cool to me:

img_4101

After hearing about all of the new and exciting fall/winter releases, Jasmin Kaur, author of WHEN YOU ASK ME WHERE I’M GOING came out to speak to us about her story and heritage. Jasmin wrote a book written in both prose and verse, and it will be coming out in October. Fortunately, we got to hear Jasmin read some of the poems from her book aloud, and it was actually her first time ever reading/performing her words in public! After she was finished, we received an ARC of her book and got it signed and personalized! I am currently reading this book and am enjoying it so far!

And that was the Fall 2019 Frenzy Presents event! Now, it’s time to show you what came in my swag bag…

img_4117

The bag itself was donated by Epic Reads, and was gorgeous! I love the design and vibrant colours!

Inside, it came with quite a few bookmarks and little pins!

It also came with a mini notebook and sketchbook, some DavidsTea samples, and a headband with lines from PRIDE & PREJUDICE!

img_4130

The first book I received in my swag bag was BREAK IN CASE OF EMERGENCY by Brian Francis! Most of the HCC Frenzy team shared that this was their favourite book out of all the ones that they were featuring, so I hope it lives up to the hype! This book is essentially about a girl who’s mother has committed suicide, so she goes back to live with her estranged father and soon finds out that he is a drag queen! Talk about an interesting premise!

img_4129

The next book I received in my swag bag was ANGEL MAGE by Garth Nix. I am not a fantasy reader, so I think I will pass this on to someone who will love it!

img_4127

The last book I received was THE HOW AND THE WHY by Cynthia Hand! This book is one of my most anticipated books of the Fall, and I cannot wait to read it! I read Cynthia Hands’ previous book THE AFTERLIFE OF HOLLY CHASE last December, and it ended up being my second favourite book of 2018! To say that I am excited to read this one is an understatement!

Those are all of the goodies I received at the Fall 2019 Frenzy Presents event! I had such a fantastic time, and thanks again to HCC Frenzy for inviting me!

In My Mailbox #12: Most Anticipated Fall ARCs!

Welcome back to Reading, Reading, Reading!

Yesterday afternoon, I came home to two ginormous book mail packages from Penguin Teen Canada and HBG Canada! I shared the outside of the packages on Instagram, but decided to share the contents on here with all of you! I also decided to include a package that I received from Simon and Schuster Canada within this post as well! This post features a lot of my most anticipated books of Fall 2019!

img_3800

The first book I received from Penguin Teen Canada is AMERICAN ROYALS by Katharine McGee. I requested this book ages ago, and was SO excited to see it in my ARC package! I don’t know much about this book, other than it has to do with a first time Queen. I was inspired to request this book after reading and loving Red, White, and Royal Blue, and I hope to love it just as much!

img_3801

The second book I received was FULL DISCLOSURE by Camryn Garrett. I was speaking to somebody that was either a beta reader/first-draft editor of this book (I can’t remember), and she spoke so highly of this novel that I couldn’t help but request this one since it seemed so intriguing to me. This book comes out in September, so look out for my review around then!

img_3802

The third book I received was THE STARS AND THE BLACKNESS BETWEEN THEM by Junauda Petrus. This novel is written in dual POV from two very different black girls that see the world similarly. I am really looking forward to reading this unique novel!

img_3803

The fourth book I received was THE PROM by Saundra Mitchell. This book is based on the Broadway play Prom, which a lot of book-tubers had the opportunity to see after Book Expo this year! I have not seen the play, but am aware of the general story line, and am really interested to see other people’s reviews of this book who have also seen the show on broadway!

img_3804

The fifth and final book I received from Penguin Teen Canada was THE BABYSITTERS COVEN by Kate Williams. Can we first admire how stunning this cover is?! I don’t remember much about this book, other than the fact that it is in the Penguin Ten must reads for the Fall!

img_3807

Those are all of the books I received from Penguin Teen Canada! I am SOOOO excited to read all of them! If you’re interested in any of them, keep your eye out for my reviews coming throughout the next few months!

img_3812

The first book I received from HBG Canada is GIRLS OF STORM AND SHADOW by Natasha Ngan. I read and loved GIRLS OF PAPER AND FIRE, the first novel in this series, late last year and am really excited to read this second instalment!

img_3814

The second book I received from HBG Canada was HOME WORK by Julie Andrews with Emma Walton Hamilton. HBG Canada supplies me with my yearly fix of Non-Fiction books throughout the year, and since I am a big fan of Julie Andrews, I was so excited to see this one on the blogger newsletter!

img_3815

The third book I received is THE QUEENS OF ANIMATION by Nathalia Holt. As some of you may know, I am a ginormous Disney fan, and couldn’t resist requesting this ARC, featuring the untold story of women who transformed Disney animation!

img_3810

And the last book I received in this package is my most anticipated book of 2019, which is  A TALE OF MAGIC… by Chris Colfer. If you have been following my blog for a very long time, you will know that Chris Colfer’s THE LAND OF STORIES series is my all time favourite series, and I am so excited for the first instalment in this spinoff series!

img_3817

Those are all of the books I received from HBG Canada!

img_3818

The first book I received from Simon and Schuster Canada was THE VERY, VERY FAR NORTH by Dan Bar-el. This book was blurbed as a spinoff on Winnie The Pooh, and since I love Winnie, I decided to pick this one up and give it a try!

img_3819

The second book I received was CHARLIE THORNE AND THE LAST EQUATION by Stuart Gibbs. This one sounds super, super interesting, and I am really looking forward to reading this action-packed YA novel!

img_3820

The last book I received was SLAY by Brittney Morris. I have heard a lot of hype surrounding this book during/after BookExpo/BookCon, and hope that it lives up to all of my expectations. I typically enjoy novels surrounding AI or virtual reality or gaming, so I am really looking forward to reading this one!

img_3824

Those are all of the books I received from Simon and Schuster Canada!

And those are ALL of the books I received in this twelfth addition of In My Mailbox! To read all of my previous ones, click here. Thanks to Penguin Teen Canada, HBG Canada, and Simon and Schuster Canada for all of these exciting ARCs!

Alyssa’s Reviews – The Perfect Wife by JP Delaney (ARC)

Welcome back to Reading, Reading, Reading!

JP Delaney is a super popular adult author, known for her mystery thriller novels. I had never read one of his novels before, but I requested an ARC of this one as it sounded right up my alley! Although, the synopsis does not do this book justice, and doesn’t really talk about any of the main points!

42927050._SY475_

(No fancy picture for this one today – I’m lending my ARC out to my Aunt!)

Synopsis:

The perfect life. The perfect love. The perfect lie. From the bestselling author of The Girl Before comes a gripping new psychological thriller. . . .
Abbie awakens in a daze with no memory of who she is or how she landed in this unsettling condition. The man by her side claims to be her husband. He’s a titan of the tech world, the founder of one of Silicon Valley’s most innovative start-ups. He tells Abbie that she is a gifted artist, an avid surfer, a loving mother to their young son, and the perfect wife. He says she had a terrible accident five years ago and that, through a huge technological breakthrough, she has been brought back from the abyss.
She is a miracle of science.
But as Abbie pieces together memories of her marriage, she begins questioning her husband’s motives–and his version of events. Can she trust him when he says he wants them to be together forever? And what really happened to Abbie half a decade ago?
Beware the man who calls you . . .

This was one wild thriller!

Upon first impression/chapter, I found the writing a bit difficult to read. I don’t think I have ever read a novel written in second person, so I needed some time to get used to it. After that, I really enjoyed the writing. Every few chapters, there is a little flashback about how the relationship between Tim and Abbie began, and I really enjoyed this parts a lot. The writing takes an interesting turn at the end of the novel (no spoilers here!) which I LOVED! It is one of my favourite “random” plot twists of the year!

To be completely honest with you, I didn’t love any of the characters, but I don’t think you are really supposed to anyways! I couldn’t connect to any of them, but I was still very interested and intrigued by their story. Plus, the character development in this one is great!

The AI plot line  in this story is one of my favourite concepts ever. I am a big techie, and am always interested in reading/learning about the technology of tomorrow. Initially, I had no idea that the main character in this story was a robot, and I really really enjoyed reading about it.

The ending of this crazy story is super surprising and in no way expected. At the beginning of the end, I wasn’t exactly sure what was happening. But it turned out to be a crazy twist and really interesting way to end the story.

This is truly the definition of an unputdownable novel, and I highly encourage all of you to pick this one up! Overall, I rated this book 4.5/5 stars! Thanks to Penguin Random House Canada for the ARC!

Good Night Book Owls!

August 2019 TBR

Welcome back to Reading, Reading, Reading!

I apologize for posting this months’ TBR so late, I haven’t had any time to write blog posts lately! This month, I will be participating in #ARCAugust hosted by @shellyzev on bookstagram (a fellow canadian blogger/bookstagrammer!). Basically, the main and only goal is to read and review as many fall ARCs as possible! I have a ton of ARCs to review for September, so I am obviously jumping in on this readathon!

img_3729

The first book I plan to read this month is SWIPE RIGHT FOR MURDER by Derek Milman. I am SO excited to read this new YA thriller! I have read quite a few YA thrillers this year, but have had a lot of mixed reviews for them. I have seen many fabulous reviews for this book in particular, so I am really looking forward to reading it! Thanks to HBG Canada for this ARC!

img_3723

The second book I plan to read is HIM by Clare Empson. This is an adult thriller that has been out in the UK since 2018, but will be released in Canada in just a few weeks! I haven’t heard much about this one, but the blurb is incredibly intriguing! Thanks to HBG Canada for this beautiful ARC!

img_3721

I then plan on reading LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE by Celeste Ng. I have had this book on my past three (?) TBRs, so I really really hope to get to it this month!

img_3728

The fourth book I hope to read is ANYA AND THE DRAGON by Sofiya Pasternack. I have had my eye on this book ever since Fernanda from Raincoast Books talked about it at the most recent TeensRead Feed event. I am SO happy to have an ARC in my possession, and definitely plan to read it this month! Thanks to Raincoast Canada for this ARC!

img_3725

Since I have several intense thrillers on this TBR, I have decided to include a cute contemporary ARC set to release in September – A MATCH MADE IN MEHENDI by Nandini Bajpai! I haven’t heard any hype about this one (yet!), but am really looking forward to reading this! Thanks to HBG Canada for the ARC!

img_3727

The next book I plan to read is FRANKLY IN LOVE by David Yoon. This is part of Penguin Teen’s must read books for the upcoming season, which makes me even more excited to read it! David Yoon is married to Nicola Yoon, an extremely popular YA author. It’s so cool how they are both becoming well-known authors in the world of YA! Thanks to Penguin Teen Canada for the ARC!

img_3730

The last book I hope to read this month is THE TEN THOUSAND DOORS OF JANUARY by Alix E. Harrow. This book has been gaining a lot of popularity recently, as the cover is beautiful and it’s being compared to Seanan McGuire’s fantasy series! I received an exclusive ARC from HBG Canada – thanks to them for sending it to me!

img_3719

Those are all of the books – mostly ARCs – that I plan to read this month! What are you planning to read in August?

Good Night Book Owls!

July 2019 Wrap-Up

Welcome back to Reading, Reading, Reading!

July was a very interesting month for me, as I had the first two-weeks off from any usual responsibilities (school and work), and then these last two weeks I have worked from 9am-6pm practically everyday! I didn’t have as much reading time as I would have expected, but I still got to read six full books!

img_3079

The first book I read this month was THE BEAUTY OF THE MOMENT by Tanaz Bhathena. I am currently lending this book out to a friend – that’s why this picture has a different background than the rest of them! I really, really enjoyed this sweet YA contemporary with a bit more meaning than your average contemporary/romance! You can read my full review of this book by clicking here. I would highly recommending this one if you liked LOVE FROM A TO Z, which I wrote an entire review on that you can read here! Overall, I gave this book 4/5 stars!

img_3711

The second book I read this month was THE CHALK MAN by C.J. Tudor. I featured this book in my July Library Book Haul, which you can read here. I haven’t read a lot of thrillers lately, and I cannot remember the last mystery novel I read that wasn’t part of the “domestic thriller” sub-genre. Needless to say, I liked this different book. The story was really cool, and I loved all of the characters. The writing was also excellent, and it kept me on the edge of my seat! At times, I found the plot a bit slow and then much too fast. Overall, I gave this one 3.75/5 stars!

img_3703

The third book I read this month was JOSH AND HAZEL’S GUIDE TO NOT DATING by Christina Lauren. This one was also featured in my July Library Book Haul. I LOVED this fantastic adult romance! I enjoyed THE UNHONEYMOONERS (their 2019 release) more – read my full review here – but I still loved this one! The characters were great, and even though the ending was a bit predictable, I still really enjoyed this story. Overall, I gave it 4.75/5 stars!

img_3694

I then read THE ONE by John Marrs (finally!). This book was one of the most interesting books I have ever read! I will say, I completed the first half of this novel in just one day, but the second half took me almost a week to complete. At times, I found the story very invigorating, but sometimes I found the stories and perspectives boring. However, I loved the writing and thought that all of the stories were written very “smart-ly”! Overall, I gave this novel 4/5 stars.

img_3699

After receiving my Chapters Indigo order in the mail, I couldn’t resist the urge to pick up THE FLATSHARE by Beth O’Leary. I wrote a mini-review of this book on my instagram account, so I encourage you to click here to read it! Overall, I loved the story and characters, and gave it 5/5 stars! Such a phenomenal adult contemporary!

img_3702

The final book I completed this month was I’M NOT DYING WITH YOU TONIGHT by Kimberly Jones and Gilly Segal. I was part of the blog tour for this one, so you can read my full review for this book here. Overall, I gave it 3/5 stars. Thanks to Raincoast Books for the ARC and inviting me to participate in the blog tour!

Those are all of the books I read this month! How many books did you read this month and which one was your favourite?!

Good Night Book Owls!

July 2019 Book Haul

Welcome back to Reading, Reading, Reading!

I haven’t purchased many books in the past few months, but Chapters Indigo was having some fantastic sales online, so I decided to take advantage and purchase four new releases! As most of you know, I have been on a huge rom-com kick, but I decided to purchase a couple of eery books as well!

img_3644

The first book I picked up was THE FLATSHARE by Beth O’Leary. This book was 30% off online, and I couldn’t help but purchase it after hearing fantastic reviews about it! I actually already read this book just last week, and I loved it! I posted a mini review on my Instagram, which you can read by clicking here. You will obviously be hearing more about this book in my wrap-up tomorrow!

img_3652

The second book I picked up was DEAR WIFE by Kimberly Belle. This was 40% off online, and I have been hearing some interesting things about this one on Instagram. I am always looking for a new domestic thriller, and I hope this one will blow me away!

img_3647

The third book I picked up was THE SIMILARS by Rebecca Hanover. I requested an ARC of this book ages ago, and didn’t receive an early copy. That being said, I knew that I would eventually purchase this one when I could find it in paperback! I am SO excited to read this one, and can’t wait to see if it lives up to my expectations!

img_3645

The last book I picked up was DON’T YOU FORGET ABOUT ME by Mhairi McFarlane. This one was 40% off, and after reading The Flatshare, I am SO excited to read another adult rom-com! This one hasn’t been super popular online, but it’s been getting rave reviews throughout Canada! I hope to read this one very soon!

img_3654

Those are the books I picked up on Chapters Indigo online this month! Have you read any of these books or does one in particular interest you? Let me know in the comments!

Alyssa’s Reviews – I’m Not Dying With You Tonight by Kimberly Jones & Gilly Segal {BLOG TOUR}

Welcome back to Reading, Reading, Reading!

Over the past few weeks, I have found myself reading books about very similar themes and/or characters. I have been on an adult rom-com kick lately, so I was happy to pick up I’M NOT DYING WITH YOU TONIGHT by Kimberly Jones and Gilly Segal, in an effort to change up my reading. Thanks to Raincoast Books for the ARC and inviting me to participate in the blog tour!

Synopsis (Goodreads.com):

Lena and Campbell aren’t friends.
Lena has her killer style, her awesome boyfriend, and a plan. She knows she’s going to make it big. Campbell, on the other hand, is just trying to keep her head down and get through the year at her new school.
When both girls attend the Friday-night football game, what neither expects is for everything to descend into sudden mass chaos. Chaos born from violence and hate. Chaos that unexpectedly throws them together.
They aren’t friends. They hardly understand the other’s point of view. But none of that matters when the city is up in flames, and they only have each other to rely on if they’re going to survive the night.

Even though I was really excited for this book, it came up a little short.

The story was very plot driven and fast paced. I have been reading a lot of character driven stories lately, so I had to get used to the change of pace right from the gecko. The story takes place in under 24 hours, which obviously makes the story go by very quickly. I tend to enjoy books that take place over a short time frame, but I felt that due to the timeframe, we didn’t get to know the characters as much as I would have liked to.

For me, the characters were nothing special. I thought that they were very under-developed, and I would have loved to read more about their backstories. Lena was a great character to read from/about, but she always annoyed me whenever she was talking about her boyfriend, because she kept ignoring red-flags. This felt uncharacteristic, as she is supposed to be a strong, independent teenager, although she felt very weak when it came to her boyfriend.

My favourite aspect of this book was the writing. It was very descriptive, which made me feel as if I was with the characters at all parts of this story. I could always recognize the point of view I was reading from, which is crucial when reading a book written in dual perspectives.

Upon reading reviews for this novel on Goodreads, I noticed a lot of people did not enjoy the ending. I actually quite liked it, as I typically don’t mind open endings. This one in particular led to a lot of follow up questions, so even though I didn’t mind the ending, I would have loved to have read in epilogue at the conclusion of this story. I would recommend this book for YA and Adult book clubs, as there could be a lot of great discussions that come from it.

Overall, I quite enjoyed this book and gave it 3/5 stars. Thanks again to Raincoast Books for the ARC and allowing me to participate in the blog tour! Make sure you head on over to everyone else’s blogs to see their thoughts on this book!

The Reading Rush 2019 TBR

Welcome back to Reading, Reading, Reading!

The biggest readathon on the internet, The Reading Rush (formally known as BookTubeaThon), is starting tomorrow and ending on July 28! I have been participating in this readathon since it began, and I look forward to participating in it this time around! This readathon includes several different reading challenges, and here are all of the books I plan to read to accomplish them! Click here to add me as a friend on The Reading Rush website!

img_3563

CHALLENGE #1: Read a book with purple on the cover.

For this first challenge, I plan to read WITH THE FIRE ON HIGH by Elizabeth Acevado. Obviously, the background cover for this book is purple, and I am SO excited to read it! I will say, I feel like I was the only person that didn’t absolutely love The Poet X (her debut novel), so I am interested to see my thoughts on it.

img_3557

CHALLENGE #2: Read a book in the same spot for the entire time.

For the second challenge, I plan on reading DUMPLIN by Julie Murphy! I have been wanting to read this book since I attended my first ever HCC Frenzy Presents event, and hope to get around to it during this readathon! Even though this book isn’t super short, I plan on reading it in my backyard this week.

img_3561

CHALLENGE #3: Read a book you meant to read last year.

I have decided to read GIRL MADE OF STARS by Ashley Herring Blake for this challenge! Ever since hearing Kayla’s thoughts on this book, I have been dying to read it.

img_3556

CHALLENGE #4: Read an authors debut novel.

Can you believe that THE SILENT PATIENT is Alex Michaelides’ debut novel?! I was shocked to find this out, since everybody has been raving over it for the past several months!

img_3553

CHALLENGE #5: Read a book with a non-human main character.

This was by far the hardest challenge to chose a book for! I heard from a friend that THIS SAVAGE SONG by Victoria Schwab has a main character that is a monster, so I figured this would work perfectly for this challenge.

img_3563

CHALLENGE #6: Read a book with 5 or more words in the title.

I am reading WITH THE FIRE ON HIGH for this challenge as well as the first one!

img_3557

CHALLENGE #7: Read and watch a book-to-movie adaptation.

I am reading DUMPLIN for the challenge as well as challenge #2! My mom has both read this book and watched the movie, and I hope to do so this weekend!

In My Mailbox #11: An Abundance of Fall ARCs!

Welcome back to Reading, Reading, Reading!

In this edition of In My Mailbox, I will be sharing with you some new ARCs I have received from Raincoast Books and HCC Frenzy/HarperTeen Canada, as well as some finished copies from Penguin Random House Canada! As always, these posts are intended for me to share new books that I will be reading and reviewing, but never with the intent of bragging about books I am so fortunate to receive for free from publishers.

img_2920

The first ARC I received was DON’T SAY A WORD by Amber Lynn Natusch. I requested this book after the TeensRead Feed event hosted by Raincoast, as I noticed that this is the second book to DARE YOU TO LIE, which was one of my favourite books that I read last year!

img_2924

The next ARC I received from Raincoast is THE LIARS OF MARIPOSA ISLAND by Jennifer Mathieu. I read Jennifer’s book MOXIE earlier this year for Fierce Female February and loved it, and I cannot wait to read her new darker and mysterious novel! Thanks to Raincoast Books for sending me this ARC!

img_2928

When Fernanda from Raincoast Books described this novel as “Jewish resistance middle-grade novel”, I knew I needed to read it! I was so fortunate to get an ARC of this new highly anticipating middle grade novel, and I plan on reading it very very soon (even though it comes out in September). Thanks to Raincoast Books for sending me this ARC!

img_2933

While I was on my long book blog hiatus last year, I read Nicola Yoon’s book EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING and loved it, so when I found out that her husband was writing a YA contemporary, I was absolutely thrilled! I will admit that I know next to nothing about this book, but am still really looking forward to reading it! Thanks to Penguin Teen Canada for sending me this ARC!

img_2930

If you are on bookstagram, I am sure you have seen this beautiful cover floating around your timeline! I was one of about 20 book bloggers that received this stunning ARC of THE TEN THOUSAND DOORS OF JANUARY by Alix E. Harrow from HBG Canada earlier this Spring. I know that this is a light adult fantasy that has something to do with a girl walking through doors (?). I have heard this book compared to Seanan McGuire’s fantasy series, and hope to read them both very soon! Thanks to HBG Canada for sending me this ARC!

img_3435

AFTER THE END by Clare Mackintosh seems like it will be a hard-hitting adult contemporary that I won’t be able to put down! Thanks to Penguin Random House Canada for sending me a finished copy!

img_3434

As you should all know by now, mystery/thriller is my favourite genre, and WHEREVER SHE GOES by K.L. Armstrong sounds like the perfect thriller for me! Thanks to Penguin Random House Canada for sending me a finished copy!

img_3510

DEAR HAITI, LOVE ALAINE by Maika Moulite and Maritza Moulite has been on my radar for a very long time, and I was so excited to see the ARC edition of it on my doorstep just a few weeks ago! It came in a very unique package, which you can see in my book mail highlight on my bookstagram! Thanks to HCC Frenzy for sending it to me!

The last two books, INTO THE CROOKED PLACE and CALL IT WHAT YOU WANT were both sent to me by Raincoast Books after hearing about them from the TeensRead Feed event! I am super intrigued by both of these stories, and am really looking forward to reading and reviewing them!

img_3512

Those are all of the ARCs I have accumulated over the past couple of months! Are you anticipating any of them? Let me know in the comments!

Good Night Book Owls!
