Welcome back to Reading, Reading, Reading!
Yesterday (Saturday, June 8), Raincoast Books held their semi-annual TeensRead Preview event! This was the third Raincoast event I joined in on (click here to see my first Raincoast event recap), but the first time I have ever attended via the online livestream!
I live-streamed the event on my Apple TV, and it was such a great experience watching and participating from the comfort of my own home! Throughout the event, I interacted with everybody by tweeting about Raincoasts’ upcoming releases by using the #TeensReadFeed hashtag. Be sure to follow me on Twitter to keep up to date on exciting bookish events and new releases (@ReadingReadingR)!
The picture above is a collage featuring the releases the Raincoast crew talked about that I’m the most excited for! Truth be told, this event featured some phenomenally sounding books, and I am looking forward to most of them! If you are intrigued by a title you see here, search he title and author up on Goodreads.
Even though I couldn’t attend the event in-person, Raincoast was so incredibly nice to send me a swag-bag!
The bag held a lot of great things, including some cool bookmarks and posters!
I also got some buttons, a Wattpad pop-socket, nail polish (!), a Throne of Glass pencil pouch, and a lovely pin!
The bag also obviously included some fantastic ARCs! The first ARC I received in my bag was THE GOOD LUCK GIRLS by Charlotte Nicole Davis. You can see the real cover in an image above. I am super excited to read this one, as it sounds really cool and different! This book is set to be out to the public on October 1, 2019.
The second ARC I received was THE GRACE YEAR by Kim Liggett. This was publicized as a re-imagining of The Handmaid’s Tale meets The Power, which sounds both intriguing and spooky. I cannot wait to read this one, as it was on my radar even before this event! They have even sold the movie rights to this novel already, and thee is a major motion picture in the works! This book is set to release on October 8, 2019.
The last ARC I received in my swag bag was HEARTS, STRINGS, AND OTHER BREAKABLE THINGS by Jacqueline Firkins (who is a Canadian author!). I believe Jacqueline spoke at the end of the event, but I stopped watching before she began due to prior commitments. Nevertheless, I am really looking forward to a cute fall contemporary! This book is set to be released on December 17, 2019.
I hope you enjoyed my mini recap of the Raincoast TeensRead Fall 2019 Preview! Thanks to Raincoast Books for the invite and the spectacular swag bag!
Good Night Book Owls!

Those are some great looking books!
Great selection of books!
You rocked it!
[…] had my eye on this book ever since Fernanda from Raincoast Books talked about it at the most recent TeensRead Feed event. I am SO happy to have an ARC in my possession, and definitely plan to read it this month! Thanks […]
