Hi friends!
My name is Alyssa Cohen and I am a sixteen-year-old book worm and blogger! I have loved books ever since I can remember, and have very strong memories of my parents reading books to me as a child. Not only have my parents always been huge influences on my life and my values, but they have also past down their love of reading onto me! Back in 2012, I visited in a Chapters Indigo store in Vaughan Mills Outlet Mall (that has sadly since closed down) and picked up my first ever YA book called… Divergent by Veronica Roth! Back then I was hearing a huge buzz about it, and I was seeing a ton of different YouTube videos and blog posts about it… that’s how I discovered BookTube and Book Blogs! Just about a year later, I had started reading and collecting all sorts of YA books that interested me. I decided to make my very own book blog on December 8, 2013 at age 11, and have been writing/posting on here ever since! While I had a hiatus during 2017 and throughout most of 2018, I have since picked it back up again and have started writing on my book blog much more frequently. I post on here about two-four times a week, and absolutely LOVE it! I receive ARCs from a variety of publishing houses, including Simon and Schuster Canada, Penguin Random House Canada, Harper Collins Canada, and many more!
When I’m not reading, you can usually find me on social media, watching a baseball game (I am a HUGE Toronto Blue Jays fan), or working on school stuff! You can find me on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
