Black Friday 2018 Book Outlet Haul

Hi everybody and Welcome back to Reading, Reading, Reading!

As some of you may know, Canada Post (the main postal service company in Canada) went on strike for a good portion of November. Therefore, a lot of packages were in (and are still) a backlog since there were a ton of delays from both Black Friday and Cyber Monday. While my package took a longer time than most of my Book Outlet packages usually take (around three days), this one took about a week and a half (ordered on November 21, received on December 2 – who knew Canada Post delivered on Sundays?!).

I am so excited to share all of the books I bought with you! While I did recently made a HUGE Book Outlet order, this one is even bigger! Keep in mind, I hadn’t really bought any books in 2018 until my last Book Outlet order, so I still had some room to buy more books during their amazing 30% off regular priced books black friday sale!

To purchase your own haul of books from Book Outlet, feel free to use my link to receive $10 off your first Book Outlet order (click any of the words in this sentence to use it)!

Good Night Book Owls!

December 2018 TBR

Welcome back to Reading, Reading, Reading!

It is finally December! Does anybody else feel like this year has gone by pretty slowly? Most of the time I feel like the years go by quickly, but this one felt abnormally slow. Any who… December is the month of snow (yuck) and holidays (yay)! I will have a lot of exciting holiday posts for both Christmas, Hanukkah, and whatever else you may celebrate up very soon (including a YA/Bookish Gift Guide next weekend!).

I plan on reading quite a few books this month. If you read yesterdays blog post (November Wrap-Up), you will know that I sadly only read just about 1 and 3/4 books. Since I have quite a bit of reading time during the later end of this month, I have a set list of books that I hope to read and review for either this month or the beginning of next month. Fortunately, I am sent quite a few books from publishing houses every few months, and this month/the very end of November, I received a TON of Winter 2019/Spring 2019 ARCs (I will have a new “In My Mailbox” post up very soon) that I have to read as soon as possible, so I’m hoping to get through most of them this month.

The first three books I plan on reading are the “Shades of Magic” series by V.E. Schwab! I am more than half way thru “A Darker Shade of Magic” and I am really enjoying it so far. I recently purchased the entire box set from Indigo, which I posted an Instagram picture of last week. I plan on binging this series throughout the next week or two (however long it’ll take me to finish), and posting a full series review on my blog when I am finished it. I have heard an abundance of hype for this series, so I hope it lives up to it!

The next book I plan on reading is “The Catcher In The Rye” by J.D. Salinger. Like 1984, I will be reading this with a group for my English Lit class and I am SO excited to finally read this book. I bought it off of Book Outlet a few months ago and have been meaning to read it for a while. When I found out that we were reading this for my class, I could not contain my excitement!

A first weeks ago I requested “Watching You” by Lisa Jewell on NetGalley, and I got approved for it earlier last week! I have been super into Adult Thrillers lately and I have yet to read a Lisa Jewell book. This one sounds like something I would love, so I am so thankful that NetGalley accepted me for this e-ARC!

The last book I plan on reading this month is another eARC from Simon & Schuster Canada via NetGalley. It is titled  “The Remarkable Inventions of Walter Martinson” and was written by Quinn Sosna-Spear. I requested this book a while ago, so I was so thankful to get an eARC of it! I believe this book falls in-between the Middle Grade and Young Adult sections, but I think it’s leaning towards more of a Middle Grade. Regardless, the premise of it sounds like so much fun and a great kind of book to read before the new year! The cover is also so interesting and makes the book that much more appealing.

Those are the books I plan on reading this December to end off the year! I am actually going to make another post with my Winter Break reading plans, because by then I will have all of my recent book gifts/ARCs/packages/orders (LOL), so I will have a bit more to chose from and to share for my two and a half weeks of winter break reading!

What are you guys planning on reading this month? Did you post a December TBR? Let me know in the comments, I love chatting with all of you! Make sure to check out my Instagram and Twitter, since I have been really active on both of them recently!

Good Night Book Owls!
