Hi everyone!
I was nominated for the Blogger Recognition Award by my blogging bestie Alina @ Radiant Reads! Finally an award other then the Liebster Award (I have 3 Liebster Award posts coming up within the next 10 days… get ready!).
Previous Awards:
Rules:
#1: Select 15 other blogs you want to give the award to.
Do some digging if you must! Find those blogs. You cannot nominate yourself or the person who has nominated you.
#2: Write a post to show off your award!
Give a brief story of how your blog got started, and give a piece or two of advice to new bloggers. Thank whoever nominated you, and provide a link to their blog. List who you’ve nominated in the post. Make sure to also attach the award itself! (You can do this by right-clicking, saving, and uploading the image above).
#3: Comment on each blog and let them know you’ve nominated them.
Provide a link to the award post you created.
#4: Provide a link to the original post on Edge of Night.
That way, anyone can find the original guidelines and post if needed, and we can keep it from mutating and becoming confusing!
The story of a blog-time…
On December 8, 2013, I was a little girl with a big passion for books and the internet. At the time, I really wanted to start filling my time with something I knew I would want to do for the rest of my life. I’d always wanted to make YouTube videos, but at the time my parents never let me, so I decided to create a blog. Some where where I could sit down and talk about books. Only people who had my passion of reading could see this, therefore I wouldn’t annoy others with my book blabbering, although I know people who follow my blog enjoy my blabbering (hehe). Reading, reading, READING was created and I still enjoy writing in this blog since then. I will never stop book blogging because I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!
Advice…
If you want to make a blog of any sorts, I did a little “Creating a Blog Series” and you can read all of the posts, here. My biggest tip of advice would be to ignore all of the negatives and not worry. There may be times when you may think “Nobody is going to read this, so why am I wasting my time?” First of all, if blogging about books is something you love, it’s definitely not a waste of time. Secondly, people are reading it, even if it’s just one person!
I nominate:
I hope that you guys enjoyed this post! Thank you again Alina, for tagging me!
Good Night Book Owls!
Congratulations!
I love your advice!! When I started out I too kept thinking “Oh god no one will ever read this”, but that’s not true – like you said: even if it’s just one person it’s worth it! You’re doing what you love and that’s all that matters! 🙂
Thanks so much for the nomination! I’m so excited – I only started my blog a week ago and I’ve already received 3 awards!!! woo!
I’ll get right on this 😉 x
