Third Sentence Thursday!

(Take any book you are reading and flick to a random page. Share the third full sentence from that page with the blogosphere as a “taster” of the book! You can also share your thoughts about the sentence (does it affect the novel? did you like the language used? was it so short that it adds suspense?) It’s a fun, fast way to offer your readers a ‘snapshot’ of a particular book.)

“But once a year, they all smiled indulgently at the commotion from the little ones waiting to receive their names and family’s.” – The Giver by Lois Lowry, Page 42 (Mass PaperBack).

This sentence is one of my favourites! It reminds all of the children and familys how they were chosen to be in their own family units! Before Jonas’s 12 ceremony this relaxes him and reminds him of his family roots.
